In conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah New Year Celebration, the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Imarah Section, Department of Mosque Affairs in collaboration with the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque Takmir Committee held the launching of 'Belajar Ilmu Tajwid Bersama Al-Qur'an' book and Understanding Tajwid Al-Qur'an 2026 Workshop. It took place at the said mosque, 18th June morning.

The launching was officiated by Awang Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri, Acting Director of Mosque Affairs. It ran concurrently with the workshop which carried the theme 'Bacaan Betul, Hati Tenang', towards improving the community's understanding and skills in Al-Qur'an reading based on the correct tajwid. The programme is also hoped to foster a continuous interest in Al-Qur'an learning as well as increasing participants' confidence in reading Al-Qur'an using the talaqqi method and based on authentic tajwid rules.
